Level Designer – Job Opening

We are looking for a Level Designer to join our team. As Level Designer, you will have a major role in shaping our next title. Collaborating with the design team, you will be in charge of mapping out compelling scenarios that complement and enhance the game’s core mechanics, and ensure that each one remains at a high standard all the way through our development cycle.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Craft compelling and interesting game scenarios that complement and enhance the Game Designer’s core mechanics, following the vision laid out by the Creative Director.
  • Shepherd game scenarios from preproduction to launch and beyond, maintaining a high level of quality throughout.
  • Work in the game engine (Unreal 4) to whitebox proposed scenarios, which could include considerations such as geometry, lighting, pathing, scripting, and other editorwork.
  • Generate and spearhead testing and iteration plans for design scenarios.
  • Create and maintain scenario documentation.
  • Be an effective collaborator with the rest of the team.
  • Meet deadlines consistently.

Qualifications

  • 3 or more years experience in the game industry in a related role.
  • At least 1 title shipped.
  • Strong proficiency in Unreal 4.
  • Outstanding communication skills, verbal and written.
  • Extremely strong collaborative skills.
  • Deep knowledge of game balancing and pacing.
  • Robust and up-to-date knowledge of the game industry, with a focus on current design practices and trends.
